When I first started talking to Justina and Stanley about their wedding they were planning like every other couple I talk to but Stanley hadn’t gotten on his knee and properly asked Justina yet! But Stanley’s sidebar email a few moments after our zoom call had immediately made me a culprit in what was going to be an amazing surprise for Justina! I love being a part of people’s love stories and I was so excited to be apart of this one! Stanley and I chatted and he told me that they love Yates Cider Mill in Rochester (I mean who doesn’t?!) as a girl from Rochester I knew that this was my type of proposal.
When we got to Yates it was such a perfect day for a proposal. We originally wanted to have things set up on the path but it was a tad busier than we hoped for and so we decided to find a second better location. We didn’t have a lot of time but we made do and we found our spot off one of the side trails a little more secluded and private and waited for Justina to arrive with her cousins. Stanley had everything ready and a cute little set up ready for her. It felt like hours while we were waiting it was like 20 min on a trail off the main path. There were some people above us on the main trail that helped keep the lookout so we would know when Justina was coming. Then the big moment came and surprise, surprise, SHE SAID YES! She was surprised and even more so because we planned her engagement photos the next day!
We decided to meet in Port Huron so we could get some lighthouse and beach photos. Justina’s favorite thing was the dress flip to make her dress flow in the wind. We had so much fun running around the beach laughing and making jokes. I’m glad that they trusted me with some of my ideas and Stanley was a good sport about going into the water in his suit at the end of the session. It’s hard to believe that these two are not models. They are both such stunning people and their love just radiated the entire session. I’m so glad that I could be a part of telling their love story. It will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the sweetest things I could be apart of.
